How to Attain the Love of Allaah

As-Salaamu 'alaikum waRahmatullaahi waBarakaatuh,

Bismillaah walhamdulillaah was-Salaatu was-Salaamu 'alaa Rasulillaah.

In the name of Allaah, all praises and thanks belong to Allaah, and may salutations be upon the Messenger of Allaah.

How to attain the love of Allaah

1. Reading the Qur’an with contemplation and having understanding of the meaning of it

2. Drawing oneself closer to Allaah by doing optional acts of worship, for it will take you to the level that Allah is pleased with

3. Remembering Allaah in all circumstances with your tongue and heart, and acting upon it

4. To choose Allaah’s love over your love when you are overcome by desire

5. The hearts observing the names and attributes of Allaah to attest with them and to know them and to chain it in the garden of the knowledge you have of Allaah. If you know these names and attributes, you will no doubt love Allaah

6. To attest your obedience to Allaah and be dutiful to Him, and worship Him as you see Him, and attest to His bounties upon you inwardly and outwardly

7. To break down your heart in entirety in front of Allaah

8. To seclude yourself in the time Allaah descends, with you heart present, and with the etiquettes of worship, and with humbleness, then complete that of your worship (i.e., end your worship) by asking Allaah for forgiveness

9.Sitting with those who love Allaah and those who are truthful; to capture the best effect of their speech (similarly to how you select the best of the fruit). One should not speak except that you review it, and see that there is benefit in that speech, and you know that it will increase you in your circumstances or will benefit people

10. To distance every means that will prevent between your heart and between Allaah

From my notes of the book Summary of Madaarijus Saalikeen by Ibnul Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (rahimahullaah)

May Allaah forgive me for any mistakes in my writing, I never intended to distort the words of the Shaikh.

High Quality Oils

As-Salaamu 3alaikum waRa7matullaahi waBarakaatuhu and hello,

I recently published a post about a sister who is in need. She has a business, selling oils, incense, and the like. I ordered two different oils from her; Egyptian Musk and Tunisian Frankincense. I must say they are both absolutely awesome, maa shaa'a Allaah! They both smell great!

I once again want to encourage people to support her business, as she is in need of the money.

School and Life

As-Salaamu 3alaikum waRa7matullaahi waBarakaatuhu and hello,

The thing about being a teenager is you have to do schoolwork. That could be boring for some people, and fun for others. I love the fact that I can do my school work from home. I have always been homeschooled or attended private schools (due to the fact that the scholars speak against Muslims going to the public schools). Now I'm in high school, and I attend an
online private school. The totally awesome thing about it, is the fact that it's accredited, and also, I can graduate in nine months if I work hard enough (although, I think it may take me more). I have five classes left before electives, and I started in April of this year. School is going pretty well, wal7amdulillaah.

I'm really trying to learn Arabic. I love the Madinah Arabic Books, they are really beneficial. I would definitely recommend them! You can find them in book stores or buy them online, but if you don't want to buy them, you can find them in PDF form online.

For Islaamic studies, I attend online classes (over Paltalk) and I want to sign-up for the
OIC courses from the major scholars. I also have Qur'aan and Islaamic studies classes on the weekends at the masjid.

Life consists of 3ebaadah, first and foremost, then there is chores, housework (isn't that the same thing?) cooking, and so on . . . you know how that is.

Oooooh, I almost forgot! My birthday is this month, wal7amdulillaah! I'm turning 17, although, I'm already 17 on the Hijri calendar.

Okay, I'm signing off. Thanks to all of my followers and readers! Baarak Allaahu feekum.

P.S. A late 3id mubaarak to everyone!

Self-Advice: My Favorite Quote

Ibnul-Jawziy (ra7imahullah) said:

'Know, dear son, that days are but hours, and hours are but breaths, and every soul is a container, hence let not any breath pass without any benefit, such as on the Day of Judgement you find an empty container and feel regret! Be aware of every hour and how it passes, and only spend it in the best possible way; do not neglect yourself, but render it accustomed to the noblest and best of actions, and send to your grave that which will please you when you arrive to it.' 'Laftat al-Kabid fee Naseehat al-Walad '
